My name is Haley Hodgson and I’m an advanced practice registered nurse and a qualified cosmetic nurse injector.

I have been a registered nurse for over 20 years and have worked in various roles including oncology, palliative care, community nursing, aged care management and general practice before transitioning into cosmetic and dermal therapy.

I grew up in the northern rivers and have lived locally for 15 years. I have 3 children and 4 mini daschunds that keep me busy in my spare time. In my downtime I like to chill with my family at home, at the beach or at sport.

At the start of 2022 I took over ownership of Maclean Medical because I didn’t want the lower Clarence area to loose a medical clinic and I wanted to help our community to have easier access to services. We became busier and the cosmetic and dermal therapy arm of the business was growing and that’s how cakora came about. My husband a Brooms Head local told me I had to call it Cakora after lake cakora which means natural beauty and the famous tree of life aerial shots of the lake it was a natural name for what we were trying to achieve and after a lot of hard work from my family I opened the doors of Cakora in November 2022.

I wanted to create a one stop shop someone for all their skin, beauty, hair and aesthetic needs and I wanted to offer services that would save people having to travel to the Gold Coast for. We live in the most amazing community and I have the most amazing skilled staff and everyday it brings me so much happiness when I see the joy we create on our clients faces and the confidence we can give them because of the treatments we provide.

Lucy our dermal therapist has a confident approach to achieving the best for clients. With listening to clients to understand what they want to achieve, Lucy is passionate about helping client achieve their goals. From super hair removal, tattoo removal, skin rejuvenation and teeth whiting Lucy has you covered.

Jess is committed to creating and fostering trusted relationships with clients, to ensure they are confident with achieving the results they desire.

Hi I’m Amy, I have been in the beauty industry for about 8 years. I started my apprenticeship in 2014 and completed my certificate lV in beauty therapy in 2016.

Beauty has always been a passion of mine, I love making my clients feel good and confident when they leave the medispa. My goal is to be able to provide the best service for my clients, and helping them feel better about themselves.

Yasmin our senior hairstylist is passionate in creating the best results for clients. Yasmin has been in the hair industry for 7 years now with keeping her skills up to date. Yasmin has an eager to make her clients feel that they confident and beautiful in themselves.
